A mat and blanket are essential. Optional extras: eye mask, socks, bolster (or rolled up second blanket) for under your knees if you experience any back strain. Your temperature can fluctuate during a session, so bring what you need for your comfort.

A small group of people breathing together.
I will explain the frame of the session, this includes the breathing technique, the theme, the arc of the music, lying position, body sensations you might experience, and make time for sharing at the end, this is optional. You do not have to share, but I ask that you remain in the session until it is complete.
I often have a theme for each session, something to perhaps focus on. I also invite you to set your own intention for the session, this is optional and you do not have to share it.
Some examples of themes are surrender, meeting your shadow, exploring joy, safety within the body, the felt sense, meeting your ancestors, embracing change, embracing your inner wisdom, meeting yours fears as the pathway to authenticity or generational shifts. Sometimes I find inspiration in quotes and poems, often your shares and stories inspire me. I find the seasons offer up themes and grounding into the cyclical nature of our lives are guiding stars for breathwork sessions as well.
It is important to remember to follow what comes up for you in any one session. Every breathe is different and everyone will have a different experience, it is ok to have an experience that turns out as unrelated to our theme or your intention, what is important is the container it creates for your sense of safety to get the best experience you can.

I will have everything you need for a one-to-one session, if you’d prefer to bring your own blanket or eye mask you are very welcome.

One to one sessions have some similarities with the group ones.
I will explain the breathing technique, the sensations you might experience, what to expect from the music.
The one to one session is dedicated to your own specific needs and your personal healing journey. You will be able to explore more deeply your own story and what you might like to address. You can share in a more private way after the session, with focused attention from me.
I will be able to use Sekhem healing energy in a more specific way one to one as well.
I will also follow up with you by text after our one-to-one session.

Dress for comfort. Soft comfy clothing, nothing restrictive. For women, this might mean thinking about your bra and whether that is restrictive.

I encourage you to lay down on your back so that the throat can fully open. If you prefer to sit up or have mobility challenges, that is fine too; you can sit on a chair or on the floor with your back supported.

A conscious connected breath through the mouth helps us to oxygenate faster which starts to influence our current state quicker. It allows us to soften the thinking mind and access the more subtle inner realms.
You can achieve this with nose breathing as well. Keeping each breath connected with no pause in between.
This breath is specifically for a conscious connected breath work session, regular automatic nose breathing is best for our everyday lives.
