conscious connected breathwork

The conscious connected breath is an active choice to breathe through the mouth with no pause in between.

Conscious - aware of our choice and the use of our breath. We are not in a passive state but choosing to open ourselves up to possibilities.

Connected - each breath is connected to the breath before and the one yet to come in a beautiful circular flow. We also allow a deeper connection to our body and our inner realms and to each other.

Breath - this is the tool we use to access altered states of consciousness and connection to the present moment

The benefits of conscious connected breathwork are both physical and spiritual: increased oxygenation of your body and improved circulation; learning to trust your intuition, learn the language of your body; find a greater sense of (self) compassion and gratitude; deep relaxation as your nervous system is calmed and an increased ability to handle stressful situations. The breath is our own personal healer and guide to our inner wisdom; conscious connected breathwork can take you to altered states of consciousness where you can access information held in the body that may not be available to us when we are in the embrace of our thinking mind.

When we breathe in this way we can bring to the surface past emotions and experiences that we might have stored in the body. Conscious connected breathwork helps us integrate past experiences so they no longer restrict us in a way they might have done so previously. We are not looking for catharsis as this can be re-traumatising, but to integrate past experiences at your own individual pace.

We are the sum of our life’s journey, your own authentic journey is the most important aspect of a breathwork session. Come with an open mind and open heart, try to let go of any fixed idea of what you might receive from a session and trust that whatever unfolds is what is needed at that time. Every breathe is different and everyone will have a different experience. Start by giving yourself the gift of time.
